Hotel Insurance Packages cover your trading risk for any Hotel, Bed & Breakfast or Guesthouse.
Coverage includes your trade contents, stock (including beers, wines and spirits if licenced), business interruption and money as well as your Employers, Public and Products Liability.
Cover can be extended to provide additional protection, for instance adding cover for the buildings you trade from, if you are responsible for arranging the insurance.
Who needs Hotel Insurance?
Any Hotel or Guesthouse owner or operator.
What does it cover?
Accidental Damage and the full range of insured perils, including subsidence and flood cover are usually provided by a Hotel policy.
Coverage includes your trade contents, household goods, stock (including beers, wines and spirits if licenced), business interruption and money as well as your Employers, Public and Products Liability. Guests’ effects will usually be covered.
Cover can be extended to provide additional protection, for instance adding cover for the buildings you trade from, if you are responsible for arranging the insurance, Loss of Licence can be covered if required.

Other things to consider
It can be very difficult to insure against damages or loss inflicted on your business by guests, so if possible, set some money aside in case of particularly bad guests. Most standard insurance policies (even for hotels) will not cover non-forcible entry when it comes to theft.
