Why Does Rebuild Cost Matter?

If a building is insured for less than its full rebuild cost, an insurer may apply a condition of average and reduce a claim in proportion to the underinsurance, depending on the policy wording. For example, if a building is 30% underinsured, a claim could also be reduced by 30%. The outcome of any claim will depend on the policy terms and circumstances

It provides an estimated rebuild cost and a comprehensive report to share with your insurer or insurance adviser. More complex or unsuitable properties may require an Enhanced Desktop Assessment or site survey, which costs more.
